There are many local theological societies in the UK, some older than Hull’s and some more recent. Some (like Hull’s) are linked to a nearby university Theology department, some are connected with the local cathedral, and others are entirely independent. Closely related to the local theological societies in their aims and activities are local branches of the William Temple Association (WTA)
There is no national body or network linking the local theological societies, and the WTA parent body was wound up in 1984. Under the ‘Related Interest’ section in the sidebar, we provide links to societies which have a website or other substantial web presence. If you know of a local society that should be included here and is not, please let us know and we shall add it to the list.
